Whole white peppercorns have a milder, less pungent flavor compared to black peppercorns, with subtle earthy and slightly floral notes. They are ideal for dishes where you want the pepper flavor without the black specks, making them perfect for light-colored sauces, soups, or mashed potatoes. To use them, crush or grind the whole peppercorns just before adding them to your recipe, as this helps release their delicate flavor. Whole white peppercorns can also be added directly to stews or braises, infusing the dish with a gentle heat over time. They work especially well in Chinese, Thai, and other Asian cuisines, where their flavor complements the subtler, aromatic ingredients.
